Marc Foman is the owner and founder of Marc's Guitar Center. He and his partner Linda Volz have been operating the business since 1978. He holds a bachelor's degree in honors English from the University of Massachusetts. When he's not on the sales floor of his store talking about his two favorite subjects: Beatles music & music theory as it applies to the guitar fretboard, he's teaching his students (which he's been doing since the business began).

Linda Volz is the co-owner of Marc's Guitar Center. She runs the back office and keeps the rest of us out of trouble. Linda has a BA degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts and plays classical piano in her “spare time.” Linda is also a part time teacher here at Marc's, specializing in children's guitar (ages 6-11).

Darrin has been at Marc's for over 17 years teaching guitar, bass, mandolin, and banjo. In college he studied guitar at the University of New Mexico under Michael Chapdelaine and graduated on the Dean's list with a BA in music performance. In addition to his university studies, he has studied in master classes with great classical guitarists such as Ricardo Cobo, David Starobin (Peabody Institute), William Kannengiser (UCLA), and Bruce Holzeman (Florida State). During his university studies, he taught three summers at Hummingbird Music Camp. Darrin has performed extensively throughout the southwest with various groups including Micky Cruz and Sismo, Albuquerque Civic Light Opera (Musical Theater Southwest), and the New Mexico Reperatory Theater in such shows as Chicago, Blood Wedding, Three Penny Opera, and A Chorus Line.

 R.J Perez has been teaching at Marc's Guitar for 6 years now. He obtained his Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance at UNM under the instruction of Micheal Chapdelaine. In addition to teaching RJ also performs at weddings and parties. He also records and performs with various musicians in and around the Southwestern area. RJ is a very laid back guy, likes to joke around and provides a very fun and easygoing learning environment. Catch his band, THE RJ PEREZ TRIO, all over town.

Jonny Heffern is the Lead Guitar Technician and Webmaster here at Marc's. Jonny is a self taught musician who excels on drums and guitar. He is also quite proficient on bass, keyboards, ukulele and vocals. When he’s not busy repairing your guitar/bass/ukulele/mandolin/banjo, he’s jamming around town with his band, HOLDOUT HEROES or practicing becoming the next big local producer at his home here in Albuquerque.

Deo, one of the sales/repair staff, has been playing music for 20 years. His first instrument was the piano but moved to the guitar soon after that. Deo is also experienced on the ukulele, drums, bass, and banjo. He is constantly on the prowl for a new instrument to play (even though mastering what he already knows is a never ending battle). He's an avid gardener & a budding baker. Currently he is playing in the local original band Admiral Gram.
